Kaartinkaupunki, Helsinki – Window restoration

The historic apartment building located by Kasarmitori Square is being given a fresh new look through the renovation of its windows. Completed in the 1920s, the building was designed by architect Lars Sonck.

Trähus began renovating the old oak windows on the building’s façade at the end of 2019, and the renovation work will continue throughout 2020. The oak window frames are restored at our workshop in Tenala, while the window surrounds are renovated on site on Kasarmikatu.
