Data, purposes and legal bases
- Enquiries and project requests: name, email, phone, town/address, topic, message, attachment names and attached files. We use this to respond, assess the project and take steps towards a possible contract.
- Newsletter: your email and explicit choice are used only if you consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Trähus Guide: your question, limited conversation context and technical abuse-prevention data are processed to answer and protect the service. Do not submit sensitive personal data in chat.
- Operations and security: server logs may contain IP address, time, browser and requested address, based on our legitimate interest in a secure website.
- Visitor statistics: Google Analytics is enabled only after analytics consent.
Forms, recipients and attachments
An enquiry is emailed to Trähus and stored in a private WordPress archive accessible only to authorised administrators. Attachments are emailed but not copied to the public media library; temporary server files are deleted after sending. A project or booking handoff from the Trähus Guide may also send a short WhatsApp alert to designated staff through Twilio.
Providers and transfers
Our hosting and email providers may process data, as may OpenAI for AI answers, Twilio for enabled WhatsApp alerts and Google for consented analytics. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA using applicable safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and similar storage
- agoodsite_consent: necessary storage of your choice locally and in a first-party cookie for up to 365 days.
- Language choice: Polylang may remember the selected language for up to one year.
- _ga and _ga_*: set by Google Analytics only after consent and may last up to two years under Google defaults.
- WordPress cookies: used for authentication and security for logged-in administrators.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded before analytics consent. Change or withdraw your choice at any time:
Retention
Enquiries in the website’s private archive are deleted automatically after 365 days. Email may need to be kept longer if the matter leads to a customer relationship, quotation, contract or statutory records. Temporary attachments are deleted from the web server after sending. Consent choices are stored for up to 365 days. Google Analytics event data is retained according to the property setting, up to 14 months in the standard version.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@trahus.fi. You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
